Here we will tell the story of the beginnings of our church and how we became what we are today.

The Riverside Baptist Church is the results of beginning of The Hour of Grace, Inc. in 1976 which was at that time a radio ministry which evolved into a printing ministry for missionaries on the field and has now become an evanglistic foreign endeavor.

With each challenge we have encountered, we became stronger in our faith.  The Riverside Baptist Church was built in the year 2000 and was opened for services the last Sunday in January 2001.  In September 2001 the church building was dedicated with 300 present and Dr. Billy Goolesby, our home Pastor, preaching the Dedication Service.

The ministries of the church include Sunday Morning and Sunday Evening Worship Services, Sunday School with six age groups, Tuesday evening Bible Institute, Wednesday evening Prayer Service, Thursday evening Discipleship Class, Friday evening Youth Meeting, Once a month Ladies Meeting, Saturday Visitation Program and Adult Choir Practice.  We also have a Sponsor A Child to School Program, Training National Pastors, Feed the Poor, and our most recent is to take over the Martha Brae Basic School with 4 teachers, one cook and 50 little children ages 3-6 years old.

We are located on two acres of land almost completely surrounded by a 5 foot cement block wall and on the famous Martha Brae rafting river.  We are the first road off the new Northshore Coast Highway and two exits from the new World Cup Stadium.

In 2004 we built the Hobgood House where we live upstairs and have dormitories where we can host 24 folks.  In 2006 we built a bath house for males and females with showers, toilets, and dressing rooms and put in a cement driveway in the church yard.  In 2007 we built a pork pit, put a front porch on our house, screened in the porch on the lower level and opened a new road to the property.

We invite you to become a part of the church today and a piece of its history tomorrow.
